The Main Tower...
US Tower TX472
I took my boat trailer and drove out to California in 1999 to pick
up my new tower.
This was done because they wanted around $1000 to ship it, and I
wanted to save some money as well as visit relatives in San Jacinto
and Bakersfield. After returning home with it, I decided I wanted
the electric winch as well, but US Tower decided that "we" amateur
radio operators were not intelligent enough to install one, so the
tower would have to be returned to them.... YEAH RIGHT! So i bought a
Superwinch AC3000 and installed it myself... imagine that!. I drilled new mounting holes in
the existing tower base concrete and set the new bolts in with a "glue" from Hilti.
And now, topping the tower is a 21 foot mast attached to a Yaesu
G-800SDX and...
